Wine filtration consists of four main stages:
- Coarse filtration
- Trap filtration/ Clarification
- Fine filtration
- Sterile filtration
Coarse filtration: The purpose of Coarse filtration is to remove materials like Kg/ de powders & other coarse particles after the aging process. We can supply filter pads, approx 3-8 microns.
Trap filtration/ Clarification: The purpose is to polish the wine and give a fine visual clarification. We can supply cartridge filters at 5,10 & 20 microns depending upon your requirements.
Fine filtration: The purpose of fine filtration is to remove yeast & bio-burden reduction. Also to protect the downstream Nylon 66 final filters. We can supply cartridge filters at 1 microns.
Sterile filtration: The purpose of Sterile filtration is to remove all spoilage organisms from the wine such as yeast, malolactic & acetic acid bacteria. We can supply membrane cartridge filters absolute rated at 0.45 microns.
We can also supply filter housings made of SS 316 for the above stages of filtration.
