Private label wine cost for export to USA

    Dear Mr. Puncee Dhall:

Thank you for letting us post questions to your forum.

I am interested purchasing India’s wineries excess bulk wine, or having wine made to my specifications to USA.

I want to purchase India's moderately price wine under my USA private label.

Requesting (Cabernet Sauvignon aged 3, 6, and 9  months age with French barrels) I will market this wine at 3 price points. So, wine needs FOB cost India.

USA$ at $ 3.80, 5.00, and 6.60.   So, my question is what wineries in India's bottles and labels good wine at these specifications.

I am requesting names of the wineries, contact names, phone numbers. Moreover, it would be great, if  you can verify that India wineries sells at these price points for moderatly price wines, or till me I am off.   I want to purchase 840 cases  about a 20 foot container of the mix purchase prices.

My second, question do you know the shipping cost on a 20 foot container from India to Los Angeles, California (I estimate it should be $3000-$4000)

Again thank you for this forum, I think it is great way for all to discuss and learn about the Indian wine industry.

     All the best,

    Jesse Inman

Dear Jesse, Apologies for the delayed posting - I have been setting up a new Fine Wine office in New Zealand.

Firstly the price points that you request are very possible. Your initial points of contact should be Chateu Indage, Sula, Grover, Barumundi, and they should be able to help or take you to the next step.

Regarding export costs you would be about right - obviously JF Hillebrand would be your first point of contact there

    Good luck

    Puneet
