Basic Certification Courses in Wine Tasting

     Hi Puneet,

Wanted to know if there are any basic certification courses in Wine tasting in and around Mumbai. As a novice, I want to take up Wine tasting as an active interest.

Do let me know if there are any other options besides certification courses.

     Regards,

    Arun

    Thanks Arun,

In the Area around Mumbai, The Gargi Institute would probably be your best bet http://www.gargiedu.com/

They are partnered with the Eastern Institute of Technology in New Zealand, where many years ago I complete my training in Grape Growing and Wine making. They would be excellent for your needs.

I have heard the Chateau Indage and Adelaide University were considering starting an establishment in Pune, but at this point do not know if this has taken off. I would appreciate if anyone has more information on this

Further North in Delhi I also know of The Indian Wine Academy which has been set up by Mr Subash Arora http://www.indianwineacademy.com/about_us.asp and would also be worth contacting for further information

    Thanks a lot Puneet,

I checked the Gargi Insitute, the website lists a Nashik address, just wanted to know if there is an establishment in Mumbai.

Meanwhile I have done some research, there is also another school which takes certification courses in Wine Tasting in Mumbai. You can get more details at http://www.kbrwineschool.com/services.htm

The basic course apparently is for 5 hrs for a day and has a exam which needs to be passed.  Wanted to get feedback about the course as its a stifle expensive being priced at 8000. ??

Puneet needed to get ur feedback on the above course...

    Cheers,

    Arun
