I hail from a Agriculturist Family from the Bijapur Belt of Karnataka. Presently running a Software Business. I intend to have a vineyard in my region. I need to know from people in the industry what are pre and post things that need to be taken care off. How vaiable is this in the region. The belt ofcourse is famous for grapes cultivation. There is only one manufacturing unit setup so far.  Probably the Govt of Karnataka is not laying the impetus you find in Maharastra for this industry. If there are any consultants specialising in Vineyards visiting North Karnataka, please let me know i would like to hire one for this venture.

A good wine specialists is very expensive and difficult to get. Many Indian wine manufacturers hire them from abroad and they cost anything between 5,000 to 10,000 US dollars for a few weeks.

If you have enough land contact me, perhaps we can think of a joint venture. I am in Wine business and have our own master wine maker.
