I think current customs duty is 150 % plus education cess of 3 %. Therefore total duty will be 154.5 % on the assessable value for customs.

As per my knowledge Reveilo cabernet Sauvignon reserve MRP Rs.1345 at Mumbai is most expensive Indian wine.

am based in Blore travel a lot an expat from american settled in

the Garden City an entrepreneur have deeply embedded interests

in all forms of alcool! But my passion is in Wines & Single Malts

have actively done Napa's, South of France Nashik in India etc

Wud love to associate myself in an entrepreneurial capacity

in whatever shape it takes.... am well versed with all aspects of

the F&B industry.

On reviewing the cost calculator for Maharashtra, it is noticed that Custom Duty on wine is shown as 161.6 % of CIF.

To the best of my knowledge it is currently 112.23 % of CIF.

And if this rate is applied in the sheet the Importer Margin can go up.
