This will definitely boost the agro sector . Indeed this is a right step. Appreciating the persons involved in framing this wine policy.

Certainly to each his own.On the other hand, with 30 years in the Hospitality Industry behind me, I would certainly urge Mr.Pancholia to concentrate far more on the DOMESTIC MARKET, specially NORTH INDIA, where we do not know Mercury at all. Every wine producing country, in the world, is trying to break into India - I attended an enlightening CHILEAN presentation ( 14 wineyards ) yesterday, at The Oberoi, New Delhi, and an even better ITALIAN presentation on 12th June ( 8 wineyards ), at The Taj Mansingh, New Delhi. Today one is getting perfectly drinkable - not great but perfectly acceptable - IMPORTED WINES in the price range of Rs. 500 - 700 per bottle so the competition is hotting up. Think GLOBAL but please act LOCAL!!

Don’t know… There is no experimentation,” . We should not depend on the viticultural as well as vinification practices standardized in temperate rwgions. I think these practices should be standardized according to our tropical conditions.
